Final Project-Lost Yet?

Logo:
This logo seem like a never ending circular object. This seemed appropriate for my game since it can seem like a never ending game if you don't find the exit.

Description:
Lost Yet is full of excitement. With every turn, drop, and fall, there will always be something you wouldn’t expect. The first level is a side scroller where you will have to navigate a ball through the maze while collecting all the floating blocks you can find on the way to the exit. Once the exit is found, you will become an elf and will need to find your way to the lower level. Be careful though, in both the upper and lower levels there are holes in the ground so watch your step. Once you navigate your way through the maze and down to the lower level and find the hole in the crater, you will be brought to the final level. During this final level, you assume the role of a ninja in an icy situation. As you are finding your way through the maze, there are Yeti’s that will try to block your path. Don’t worry though, with one click of a button your ninja will throw a ninja star and take care of those Yeti’s without a problem.

Instructions:
Use the Arrows to move, the ‘Q’ key to jump ahead to the next level, Space Bar to jump (only in level 1),
‘V’ key to throw Ninja Stars (only in level 3)

Tidy Tile Builder: Level 1 and Level 2

Below are images of both my first and second levels. The first level is a side scrolling game where you must navigate the ball through the "maze" and find the exit. In the future, I might have the some objects for the player to get prior to them leaving the level, but as of right now this is all that is involved. The second level is a top down, 3d type of a level. In this level, there are two platforms. The player starts on the higher of the two and must navigate their way to the surprise ending in order to get to the next level. Again, there may be some objects that the player can get before they move on but since only the dead ends have walls, this may be more challenging than one thinks. Feel free to leave comments on my work.

Map Prototype

After creating the textures and applying them to the blocks, I have created a prototype/example of one of my maps. Since creating the moss texture took the longest, I figured I would make a map with these textures to show them off. Here are some images from that map. Granted, this is a lot bumpier and smaller than what my actual map will be like but still, this is just one possibility out of the endless amount that are out there.

Roll-A-Ball: Reference Gathering and Game Design Post

For my Roll-A-Ball game levels, I will be doing a rolling game with a top down view. The objective of this game will be to get to the other side of the map without falling off the map. To make this interesting, the first map will be the easiest, the second will be a medium difficulty and the last will be the most challenging. The textures that I will need to make these maps are shown below. I will make one of these maps of all glass, another of an icy look/texture, and the last maybe a dungeon look.

Final 2DRPG

Monster Takeover
Your a boy who grew up in a common village in an alternate universe. However, one day, a group of monsters and their leader, Grud, attacked your village and you want revenge. This causes you to start a long journey through many harsh areas full of different violent monsters. As you get closer and closer to Grud, the monsters get stronger and stronger. In order to continue your journey to kill the leader, you go through several towns and are able to buy new, stronger, better weapons. You will need the build up your arsenal of weapons in order to take down the all powerful Grud. Once defeating Grud you will go through the door and win the game.
Throughout the process of building this game, I set many goals for myself and wanted to make this game big and difficult. For this reason, I spaced out where you can buy weapons, how much they are and how much damage they cause. In the first town you only get a dagger and a bow, then you get an ax in the second town. Finally you get a powerful sword and wand in the last town. I also made it so that every character says something different. The one thing I probably should have done a little more of is redoing the looks and involving the story a bit more. To beat this game the player is going to have to buy new weapons and get a lot of money in order to purchase all of these weapons. Honestly, I am very proud of this game and all the time and areas I put in really make it unique and different from the other games that were created. I have provided pictures below to illustrate the important parts of the game and what should be done to beat the game.
